"The Family Belongs of Chinese People", published in June 2015, documents the life of the underclass over the past three decades and reveals many anecdotes, folk culture, and customs that are deeply rooted in China's native soil. Photos show 50 Chinese families, all of whom have brought their entire contents of their homes outside of their front doors, to be displayed on the ground. It took Ma Hongjie more than three decades to complete this project.
